A lady who was within the backseat of a disabled car has died after an armored car crashed into the again of it on the Gold Star Bridge in Groton on Friday.
State police mentioned a 52-year-old man from Indiana was driving a Ford Edge southbound close to the exit 83 on-ramp round 6:40 p.m. when there was a mechanical failure along with his car. The Ford Edge reportedly stopped throughout the southbound lanes of the Gold Star Bridge.
Based on investigators, an armored car on the freeway crashed into the again of the disabled Ford Edge.
The motive force of the Ford Edge and his 54-year-old feminine entrance seat passenger have been taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for minor accidents.
A 76-year-old girl who was within the again seat of the Ford Edge was transported to the hospital to be handled for severe accidents. She was later pronounced lifeless. Troopers recognized the girl as Evelyn Diment, of Indiana.
